Collectors of Lucinda’s paintings have long said her art helps transform them to places of comfort and serenity.

In 1993 she discovered her art could help others in another way. The artist reproduced a painting depicting a scene from the island of Montserrat. Later, when a volcano eruption devastated the island, she donated half of the proceeds of the reproduction to the Montserrat Red Cross. Collectors of those prints have thanked Lucinda for giving them a connection to the island.

Since then, Lucinda has used her reproductions to help other organizations. Currently, the artist is dedicating half of the proceeds from Red Roofs and The Hammock lithographs to the Healing Garden at the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Center on St. Thomas. The Rotary Club of St. Thomas, of which Lucinda is a member, will build the garden for patients, family and friends to pray, meditate and visit. If you are interested in either print, please indicate your wish for 50% of the purchase price to go to the Healing Garden Fund.
