I just want to thank you again for your wonderful, inspiring class we took with you in April 2010.  I was their with my two daughters Rebecca and Jennifer and Lee, Jennifer's future Grandmother in law.  Perhaps you remember Jennifer as she is a computer game developer from Sony.  She went through with the wedding on the cruise ship that we were on, has left her job at Sony and is settling into her new temporary position of domestic engineer in Houston Texas.

 

I wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I have entered three of my paintings into an anonymous art auction which is a fund raiser for the arts council in North Vancouver, Canada.  All of the 8"X8" paintings are not signed on the front, they all sell for 100.00 each, 50 for the arts council and 50 for the artist.   I was nervous to drop my paintings off  but as I did I could not help but think of you and your inspiration.  I will have a feeling of complete success if they even just hang one of them up for sale.

 

I also took a water colour painting class on a Celebrity Alaska cruise with my husband this summer.....what a joke....  It was a far cry different from yours, if ever we get to see each other I will tell you all about it, I would love to see your face cringe at the story. (part of the story includes tracing paper and a salt shaker from the dining room and the artist went mental when she couldn't find her scotch tape.  LOL)  At the end of the three 1 hour (free) classes the teacher suggester I was better off being an observer of art than a creator.   This woman gets free cruises all over the world and gets to bring a guest with her in exchange for teaching 3 - 1 hour painting classes during a 7 day cruise.  I decided that she must be an excellent marketer or has a fabulous agent LOL.
